YURAI

Through the tool of music

Let's show what we are here now

Through the round of bound ties

Let's exchange each other's sound

Music is invisible and has no shape

Although I can not come to touch,

You can touch it in your heart

And it can be a force to accomplish

something

Journey of the sound by looking at the

origin of life ...

We inherited that blood line

We congratulate this planet ♪

Ema

〜Vocal・Moon bow・etc…

Each and everything in this world is a song that she hears.

She possesses a singing voice called rainbow Voice.

Using her original Moon bow to start with, the rendition of her unique approach at playing bowed string instruments, making the most of harmonic overtones, she sings it as her “other voice.”

She is an unconventional, extraordinary female artist who actively produces the visual art and events of many artists as well as perform in concerts and recordings with them. She has performed with “YURAI”, the legendary band “Wind Travelin’ Band”, as well with artists from Okinawa and Amami, performing together in their island songs.

Esoh

 〜Keyboard•Percussion•etc…

He is the pianist of this group who sings in an overtone voice using circular breathing techniques of his own. He performs using the spiritually traditional musical instruments of indigenous people as well as original musical instruments made of natural materials such as stones and trees. His multi-talented highly spiritual performance remains to be one that stands out.

In 1987 he performed in the Montreux New Jazz Festival (Switzerland), with his own group, “Silent Pulse.” In 1991, he toured through Okinawa, Rome, Paris and Greece along with the dance performance group “Amami Shineri”(Okinawan myth) as their music director.

As a member of the Wind Travelin’ Band, along with Ema, he performed in the Glastonbury Festival (Britain) and the U.S West Coast Tour and expanded internationally. As a result, he established relationships with an array of artists and collaborated with them as well.

He also creates and produces musical events and albums for those whose hearts are headed towards making an even better world.

Taka

〜Guitar・Bass・Vocal

He is a singer/song writer who holds an agricultural viewpoint and believes in the importance of eating well. He contemplates how he should go on with life through music.

He executes organic agriculture. His guitar and voice, along with his youth and energy brings to YURAI a new aspect to all that is orthodox. While doing so, he also continues to pursue his own potential.

He started composing when he was still a student and was blessed with opportunities to perform his original songs before many audiences.

He is currently in the process of gradually expanding his performing activities with his brother, in a duo unit called “Tamago Kake Gohan (Egg over Rise)”.

Tomo

〜Percussion

He is YURAI’s percussionist, who loves the ocean so much that he brings a fishing pole along with him on tours.

He plays the cajon, ipu and frame drum.

He does things at his own pace and whenever he finds free time even when on tour, he sets off to go fishing.

He is also the author of an original story called “Island of Life” in which dolphins and whales are the main characters.

He is also the percussionist for the duo unit “Tamago Kake Gohan (Egg over Rice)”.

Although he has gotten fairly used to performing live, he’ll probably be wearing a blank expression when performing, for some time yet.
